Homely Kindergarten
A comfy place to study

Hello! I am the Kindergarten 2 teacher.
I will be sharing with you on how I used problem solving as one of my teaching techniques in class.
Have you ever wondered...
How do you encourage children to think outside of the box?
Scenario:
Through this activity, the children are able to problem solve by working together with their peers. Children will be able to learn how to come up with ideas, seeing many possibilities and situations in new ways through problem-solving (Kaya et al., 2017).
Snapshots from the video:

1. I will start off the activity by explaining to the children what they are going to do first.

2. I will ask the children open-ended question to encourage them to think out of the box, allowing them to problem solve.

3. I will add on open-ended questions to further prompt the children. The children will work together and solve problems with their peers.

4. I will wrap up the activity by asking the children questions such as " What are other ways that you can do to solve the problem in a shorter time".
